To get a good inspection you need a good Inspector. A Building Inspector that has a complete inspector home website will show sample inspections to prove that he is the Home Inspector of Home Inspectors for you. A Construction Inspector doesn't have to be a Certified Inspector. Inspectors that use a home inspection checklist only, are never very thorough. Very few Building Inspectors do home inspections like a home inspection would be done if it were the Inspectors home. A Property Inspector is an Inspector building his business in part around inspecting whole properties. Building inspection is important BEFORE you buy. A Certified Home Inspector is anyone that can pass the test; it doesn't make them "qualified". A plumbing inspection is a specialized part of building inspections. A construction inspection is different than inhabitable property inspections. Inspection services or any inspection service, residential commercial will vary with the qualifications of the Inspector. A commercial inspection can be done by a Professional Home Inspector as long as he is experienced in doing commercial inspections. A Plumbing Inspector is usually specialized, as are Construction Inspectors. A house inspection may recommend that specialized electrical inspections be done separately if there are deep problems. A residential inspection is not the same as a property inspection, which can include things way beyond standard residential inspections. A thorough roof inspection cannot be done during a checklist home inspection.

For nearly 2 decades I have been attending selective Los Angeles and Orange County International Association of Mechanical and Plumbing Officials (IAMPO) and International Association of Electrical Inspectors (IAEI) educational lunch meetings with Building Department Heads, to keep me updated, and, provide me with the knowledge to correctly document the conditions of the systems and components in your report.

In addition, understand that equally as important as the thorough detailed inspection (information gathering) is a thorough detailed and extensive report, as a result, the written report will take longer than the actual inspection to generate. I limit my schedule to 1 inspection every other day so as to allow full focus on your purchase.
